During my time as an undergraduate student living on a PWI campus, I often was in search of places to call my home away from home. The club SOCA (Students of Caribbean Ancestry) quickly became a space where I was able to not only tap into my own Caribbean heritage but also learn, grow, and interact with other students who were also in search of their own island on campus.

I was approached by the President of SOCA to revamp the club’s visual language. I quickly jumped onto the project as a way to give back to a place that gave so much to my peers and I. While being rooted in the original logo I wanted the rebrand to emote feelings of community, growth, and possibility; becoming creative directions to communicate graphically.
